We have been designing and manufacturing chucks ever since 1972 when the original "coil chuck" was produced. The Masterchuck (shown left) was first made to our design by Henry Taylor Tools in 1986. It is now made for us in Sheffield. It has an extremely stong grip even in a shallow recess (2mm in this bowl).

Patriot chuck

Patriot Very similar to the SuperNova but made in Sheffield England. Four jaw self centering geared scroll chuck 15% lighter in weight than the Supernova but with greater jaw movement and slightly superior grip. Takes Nova jaw sets and threaded inserts . Available in all common thread sizes. 1,1/2" threads and 33mm thread sizes have to be dedicated machined in threads. Smaller threads use interchangeable inserts (spanner provided so if you have two lathes you can quickly move the chuck from one lathe to another.

Axminster chucks and accessories all available but not always in stock
Drill chucks - 1/2" £20.70 specify 1 or 2 morse taper. Ours are the only ones which can be retained in the taper with a drawbar for used to grip miniature wooden pieces. more info
